The COVID-19 pandemic has passed. A new information hub replaces the previous situation dashboard to provide a single location for all WHO/Europe pandemic updates.
The map shows the time-varying reproduction number (Rt) estimate, a leading indicator of outbreak trends based on data from incident emergency department (ED) visits. An Rt value above 1 indicates that infections are growing in a given location. Each Rt estimate is associated with an uncertainty range which reflects the likelihood that infections are increasing or decreasing.
